Ukrainian Hub Takes Part in Celebrate Aberdeen Parade 2024
On the 31 of August, we were delighted to take part in Celebrate Aberdeen 2024 parade, supported by community members and volunteers. Ukrainians put on a colourful blue and yellow display with flags, posters, and traditional Ukrainian vyshyvanka shirts.
The Celebrate Aberdeen Parade is an annual celebration of the city's incredible third sector organisations and charities working across all sectors. This is the first year Ukrainian Hub Aberdeen took part along with many wonderful organisations of the city, some of which support Ukrainians directly as well.
We hope our procession helped being awareness about the positive contribution Ukrainians make in the city and remind of the horrific realities of war waged in Ukraine, prompting more support for our homeland.
