On May 19th, Ukrainian School Aberdeen celebrated the Vyshyvanka Day (День Вишиванки). Vyshyvanka is a special Ukrainian embroidered shirt and this day holds great significance as it allows us to showcase the history and cultural importance of the Ukrainian traditional costume. Through our school activities, we educate students about the rich traditions and symbolism behind the vyshyvanka, fostering a deeper appreciation for Ukrainian heritage. This event not only honours our roots but also strengthens our community's cultural identity.
